On the 23rd of April, 2024, a significant stride was made in the realm of educational collaboration as the National Economics University (NEU) of Vietnam and STC B.V. (STC NEXT) of the Netherlands formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This MoU signifies a commitment to advancing training and education initiatives in the fields of port management, logistics, and transportation.

This MoU has as its objective to promote the reinforcement of the cooperation relations between NEU and STC NEXT aiming at conducting training and education-related activities. This MoU recognizes and ensures the rights and responsibilities to well implement the contents agreed upon by the PARTIES on supporting human resource development, supporting education and training towards economic and social development, and the development of the PARTIES in the field of human resource development in the port industry, logistics and transport sector in Vietnam.

Under the MoU, joint activities between NEU and STC NEXT will encompass detailed plans outlining deliverables, target audiences, manpower requirements, budgetary considerations, and other essential aspects. Clear guidelines for project execution, including ownership rights and confidentiality clauses, are also established.

NEU and STC NEXT each have distinct roles within the partnership. NEU will prioritize the utilization of training and educational programs related to ports, transport, and logistics in Vietnam. On the other hand, STC NEXT will conduct tailored training and educational activities, develop customized materials, and provide specialized training to enhance proficiency in designated sectors.

The cooperation between NEU and STC NEXT will be conducted on a per-project basis, with a shared commitment to professionalism and mutual benefit. Both parties will appoint focal points to oversee implementation, ensuring effective coordination and communication throughout the collaboration.

The signing of the MoU between NEU and STC NEXT marks a significant milestone in fostering educational excellence and promoting socio-economic development in Vietnam. By leveraging their collective expertise and resources, these institutions are poised to make substantial contributions to talent development and industry advancement in the region.
