Monday, April 6 – Luckily, fun things continue at STC in addition to the lessons. For example, the jury round for the MCR prize was conducted last Thursday. An annual prize that is awarded to the most talented MBO students of STC. In this election, six students met the jury online via Teams. Once again it was not easy for the jury to decide which three students could continue to the next round.

After thorough consultation it has been decided and the finalists for this year have become:

• Lisa van den Berg, Airfreight Specialist
• Stefano van de Laar, all-round Operational Technician
• Stefan Verwijs, Logistics Supervisor

The next round in the election is a vlog assignment, in which the students will tell more about their education.

Normally, the winner will be announced at the beginning of June during the Rotterdam Harbor Event. Unfortunately, this event for the port of Rotterdam has been canceled due to the corona virus. Alternatives to the MCR Prize winner announcement will be explored and announced at a later date.

The MCR Prize is an initiative of the Marine Club Rotterdam and is awarded annually to the most talented MBO graduate who is a real ambassador for the sector.
