Vietnam Maritime Administration signed collaboration with STC Next regarding maritime human resources training
This Memorandum of Understanding has the objective of promoting and strengthening the cooperation relationship between Vietnam Maritime Administration and STC Next to carry out activities related to educating and training of maritime human resources in Vietnam.
Within the framework of the 8th session of the Vietnam – Netherlands Intergovernmental Committee on Climate Change Adaptation and Water Management (IC8), on the afternoon of June 26 (local time), Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha attended the Roundtable discussion with Dutch and Vietnamese businesses in The Hague (Netherlands).
The seminar was attended by nearly 30 large enterprises from the Netherlands and Vietnam operating in the fields of seaport infrastructure, mining, dredging, maritime services, logistics, renewable energy, and agriculture…
The Netherlands is currently the second largest trading partner of Vietnam in Europe and the largest investor of the European Union (EU) in Vietnam. The two countries have identified five priority areas for development cooperation, including climate change adaptation and water management, agriculture, energy, marine economy and logistics services.
At the seminar, representatives of a number of Dutch corporations expressed interest in projects related to coastal protection; offshore sand exploitation as an alternative material for construction and transportation projects; dredging major navigational channels; building a liquefied gas port; production of hydrogen, ammonia; digitizing the process of exchanging seaport information.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, leaders of a number of ministries and branches witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in maritime human resource educating and training between the Vietnam Maritime Administration and STC B.V Company (STC Next) – a corporation duly organized and incorporated under the laws of the Netherlands, with its registered office and business headquarter at Soerweg 31, 3088 GR Rotterdam.
This Memorandum of Understanding has the objective of promoting and strengthening the cooperation relationship between Vietnam Maritime Administration and STC Next to carry out activities related to educating and training of maritime human resources in Vietnam. Areas of cooperation include: Training in the field of ports, transport and logistics.
The level of training activities ranges from operator training to management; Training in the field of ports, transport and logistics. Levels of training activities range from college/vocational, bachelor and postgraduate; Develop training materials and training for the above programs; Strengthen the capacity of lecturers and teachers through intensive training programs focusing on both content and pedagogical knowledge and skills.
This Memorandum of Understanding is valid for 2 years from the date of signing, with the form of cooperation on a project-by-project basis.
